Another strong positive invitation has come to return to Kenya and teach Pastors and Leaders. When I see the massive needs there it is difficult not to decide to go. The final decision for 2008 has not as yet been made. Leaders who are so genuine and sincere need constant encouragement, particularly where they find so many things so very hard - politically and physically.

Kenya, Uganda, Zambia and a few other central African countries should be rich and comfortable but many are living on the equivalent of around one dollar a day. This is partially because of the legacy of colonialism, bad government and global injustice.

Man likes to grumble complain whine and find someone to blame as soon as something does not go the way he thought things were going to go and we see that so clearly in the amazing book of Exodus and in that scenario we read of in Chapter 16.

The grumbling had begun - we read of that in Chapter 15, and here it is again.

What is happening here? Let’s just take a moment to consider what we are looking at - it is important to get at the actual facts and also to be systematic.

In this article, I am going to be writing about the importance of communication between management and their staff, in the workplace. A lack of communication, or even worse no communication, can create a large amount of frustration within the employees. This can lead to a lowering of morale and ultimately productivity.

When reading a job advertisement which mentioned a requirement for excellent communication skills, I never really knew what it really meant. I actually thought that they would be looking for someone who was able to speak extremely fluently with a confidence voice. As a person who had suffered with a stuttering problem for eighteen years of my life this was something that I certainly did not have, well not until the age of twenty-two at least.

First, you have to know what those goals are. Second, you need a plan. (Cue theme song from “Rocky.”) Whether you write full-time, part-time or when time permits, you need a business plan. Your business plan should include an Executive Summary. The goals you hope to achieve this year should comprise your executive summary. Let’s say yours looks like this:

Executive Summary: A) Complete novel. B) Sell ten articles to magazines. C) Attend one writers’ conference.

Next comes your Plan of Action. How do you plan to achieve these goals? I’ll prepare three model plans of action. POA1 is for those who write full-time. POA2 is for those who write part-time. POA3 is for those who write when time permits.

There are two types of stress. The first type is acute stress. That’s the kind where your body senses danger and adapts to the threat by making physical changes which enable you to quickly get out of harms way. This occurs because your body secretes chemicals and stress hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol. These chemicals are secreted in response to your thoughts and cause your body to prepare for “fight or flight.” For example, let’s say you are crossing the street and you notice a car quickly approaching. You see the car which causes you to feel fear and anxiety. Your body then adapts to the stress by secreting chemicals and hormones which send messages to your heart, lungs and organs in order to prepare them to handle your crisis. Your heart rate increases, blood flow is diverted to muscles allowing for quick movement, your pupils dilate and more oxygen flows through your lungs for an extra burst of energy. These changes allow you to react quickly, enabling you to jump onto the curb to safety. Within a short period of time your body calms down and things return to normal. This protective mechanism is crucial to your safety and is designed to protect you against danger.

Believe it or not, having a successful mindset begins first in your head and then manifests into everything you do including the people you interact with - your friends, family, colleagues, business associates, clients and customers.

Your mental attitude dictates whether you will be receptive and accepting of new things, ideas, and people. By having an open and positive attitude you can choose to view ANY life situation as an opportunity OR a problem. And, when you begin your day with a deliberate optimistic and realistic attitude, your physical environment, personal relationships, and business partnerships become a stepping stone for success.

Anthony Robbins once said in his Unleash The Power Within seminar; If YOU WANT to be MASSIVELY SUCCESSFUL in LIFE, YOU MUST take MASSIVE ACTION!

This is one of my favorite motivational quote and I found it to be very true in getting what we want in life.

LIFE is a participating game and never a spectators game! So to win the game in your life, you must participate. However, mere participation in the game will only produce mediocre results and that is why majority of people just drifted through their life and without knowing, they have reach the end of their journey in life!

It is the moment of decision that your destiny is shaped.” - Anthony Robbins

Life can oftentimes feel overwhelming, especially when we face many options, pending decisions, and countless unknowns. Making a decision can seem daunting, and even scary, when you consider the long list of impacts your decision will have. We feel clouded in mind-created confusion and incapacitated by the fear of the consequences. It can be easy to get caught in the turmoil of reaching a conclusion, however I know you will find that a decision is as easy, or as complicated, as we choose it to be.

If you are interested in starting a running program, here are some tips to get you started.

First, decide why you want to run. This is your motivation. You will need to remind yourself of this often, especially in the winter when its very cold and windy outside. Motivation is what will get you started and keep you going.

Visualize, Actualize, Realize. Be committed to your
goals. Think long term, have a plan and execute it
to perfection with style and grace.

FAR Principle: Remember this Success Equation…
Faith + Asking= Results (FAR). You indeed will go
FAR on this principle alone. Faith and Asking go to
very essence of our inner being. We’ve all had
examples of how faith works in our lives, haven’t
we? Think for a second about the last time you had
real faith in something and it came true. If you have
faith, all things are possible!
