Visualize, Actualize, Realize. Be committed to your
goals. Think long term, have a plan and execute it
to perfection with style and grace.
FAR Principle: Remember this Success Equation…
Faith + Asking= Results (FAR). You indeed will go
FAR on this principle alone. Faith and Asking go to
very essence of our inner being. We’ve all had
examples of how faith works in our lives, haven’t
we? Think for a second about the last time you had
real faith in something and it came true. If you have
faith, all things are possible!
Is it possible to become successful just by believing
it? Studies have confirmed that the mind cannot tell
the difference between a real incidence and one
that has been well imagined. The instant you
experience an event intensely in your mind’s eye it
is recorded as experience.
Practice mental rehearsal. Imagine this… Liu Chi
Kung, a superlative pianist in the late 1950’s, was
incarcerated during the Cultural Revolution in
China. After seven years without a piano he
immediately resumed his concert tour after being
freed. His fans said he played even better than ever
and wondered how this could be possible. Kung
said, “I rehearsed every piece I had ever played,
note by note, in my mind.”
Mental preparation, or the process of visualization,
can give you a competitive edge in any situation.
World-class Olympic participants have used it in
their training regimen for years and it works not
only in sports but also for every goal you set for
yourself in life.
So picture this, the next time you make a
presentation, book a vital meeting, or try a new
challenge outside your comfort zone, gain an extra
edge by practicing mental imaging in advance. You
can visualize your way to success. You don’t need
any fancy tools, it won’t cost a penny, and you can
start at this very moment. Just envision it
happening for you!
Asking in a positive life-changing way will net
positive results. Mark Victor Hansen and Jack
Canfield authors of the best seller “The Aladdin
Factor” (which I recommend all of
you read) said this, “What’s the worst thing that
could happen by asking for something… nothing.” If
you don’t ask nothing happens. If you do ask, it
may have been granted after all. In other words,
nothing ventured, nothing gained! So ASK, ask loud,
ask in a strong positive voice, call it into your life
whatever it is, money, happiness, peace of mind,
but ask and you WILL be amazed by the RESULTS
that will come your way.
I ask in this way when I am faced with enormous
life-changing circumstances; I look into a mirror,
right into my eyes, and say, “Life is made up of
these very moments, how you deal with this will
determine your outcome…Just believe in yourself!”
So when you ask be as specific as possible.
Remember we are re-hardwiring our subconscious
mind for success. Your subconscious mind always
wants you to be happy…set dates for your
accomplishments to come true, and then challenge
yourself to achieve it. If you believe strong enough
and it benefits your life, it will come true.
You are the only one stopping yourself from
fulfilling your dreams, hopes and desires. Henry
Ford said, “If you think you can do a thing or think
you can’t do a thing, you’re right.” You control the
outcome of your life; visualize the actualization of
your goals. Make a promise to yourself today to
start thinking like a winner!
Tiger Woods, the pro golfer, visualizes victory as
part of every one of his pre-swings. Jack Nicklaus,
another legendary golfer, did the very same thing
and his accomplishments are well documented too.
The Journal of Consulting Psychology did an
experimental study using the idea of actualization
and visualization in the job search of unemployed
subjects. Two groups were assembled using two
different types of approaches to search for a new
job.
The 1st group used traditional career counseling and
interview coaching. The 2nd group-did the same as
1st group, plus visualization techniques were added
that related to effective interview techniques and
career counseling.
RESULTS of the study showed:
1st Group: 21% found new employment within 2
months.
2nd Group: 66% found new employment within 2
months.
Conclusion: effective use of visualization and belief
will take you a long way toward achieving your
goals.
Here’s to your successful and purpose-driven day!
